Our Story

Gospel4Haiti began as a simple idea—one born out of faith, hardship, and hope—and by God’s grace, that idea has become a living reality. The organization was founded by Lorventzky, also known as Love, who serves as the president and founder of Gospel4Haiti.

Love grew up in a small town in northern Haiti, where his family struggled daily just to survive. When he was only nine years old, his mother left him and his siblings to travel to Cap-Haïtien in search of a better life, hoping to return and provide for them. Sadly, that hope never became reality. She did not come back. From that moment on, Love’s father raised him and his siblings alone, carrying both the weight of provision and parenthood.

The absence of a mother and the grip of poverty made life incredibly difficult. There were countless days when Love could not attend school because his father could not afford the tuition. Some days, there was no food at home. Yet in the midst of hardship, Love never lost hope. He trusted that God would make a way—even when the way forward seemed impossible.

Years later, God began unfolding a greater plan. Love met his wife, Danielle, while she was on a mission trip to Haiti. What began as a friendship quickly grew into something deeper. After a year and a half, they both recognized that God was calling them to walk together. Today, they are married and blessed with three wonderful children.

Although Love eventually moved to the United States, his heart never left Haiti. The land where he was raised, the pain he endured, and the hope he once longed for continued to call him back. Remembering what it was like to grow up without both parents and without opportunity, Love felt a deep burden to return—not for himself, but for the children and families still living the life he once knew.

When asked why he continues to go back to Haiti, Love explains: “One of my greatest privileges is the opportunity to return to Haiti to encourage the Haitian people. Friends often ask me, ‘Why do you go back there?’ The truth is, every time I set foot on Haitian soil, I am humbled, filled with gratitude, and reminded of God’s grace. My desire is to give others the opportunities I did not have as a young boy.”

At the heart of Gospel4Haiti is a mission to restore hope—physically, spiritually, and eternally. Haiti faces deep challenges. Poverty remains widespread, access to education, housing, and healthcare is limited, and spiritual strongholds such as voodoo continue to affect many communities. Love understands these struggles personally; they once stood as barriers in his own life.

Today, his story has become a testimony of what God can do through faith and obedience. Gospel4Haiti exists to bring opportunities where there were none, to shine light where darkness remains, and to share the transforming love of Jesus Christ with children, families, and entire communities.
